"HELLO DEAR"

     Once upon a time, my e-mail was fine....then it got publicized....and...if I receive one more Hello Dear e-mail,  I'll go completely quackers!!!
   
     What am I talking about?
   

     Well, I recently got on Paypal to sell my own, personal CD, as there's been a healthy interest in it.  This meant my hitherto, private e-mail, became known to the wide masses of Internet.  So far, so good.  Until, suddenly I began to receive all kinds of e-mails, one crazier than the other.  They have some things in common.

     Most begin with 'Hello dear/Hello my dear'.  They are sons and daughters of Prime Ministers, or some equally high-placed individual, in some Government Department, in S America, Africa et al.  They had either inherited or had vast fortunes of millions, which they wanted transferred out of their country.  They chose me, an absolute stranger, albeit a DEAR and honest one, to offer me a sizeable amount, if I allowed them to deposit their money in my account.  And, all the poor dears asked of me, was, to fill in my name, address, account number blah blah...and the money would immediately be transferred!!

     Lets recap....they do not even know my name, but know me as an honest and dear person to entrust their 'fortunes' to!!  How does that equate...Let Einstein work it out, and, e-mail it to them!!

     Of course, as money doesn't tempt me, I never respond, knowing full well it is a massive con. However, I SO wanted to reply and say 'WHO THE FRIGGING HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TRYING TO CON, YOU MORONIC, BRAINLESS IDIOTS, WHO BELIEVE YOURSELVES TO BE SO CLEVER,  SO CAN'T SEE HOW RIDICULOUSLY STUPID YOU ARE!!!' But, that would get me in a conversation with them, and, I don't want that. So, I control my anger, merely adding them to a long list of BLOCKED e-mails, which my Outlook system provides, thus, reducing their numbers.

     By the way, I've even 'won' vast amounts on my mobiles whether their cards and numbers are permanent or temporary/renewable. Not surprisingly, they too, want me to part with all my personal data before they 'bank' my winnings!!!  One final message to them, in a controlled, polite way of course as I cannot unleash the verbals on blog!!.

     'HELLO DEARS...P*SS OFF!!'

    You've been warned, my unknown readers (if there are any)!! I have no doubt, these cons, DO find many who are blinded by vast numbers, intended to make MONEY for them (the cons)...  once you part with your personal details and bank account numbers, more likely thinking.. 'what can I lose' !!!!

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEN & WOMEN

So....what IS the real difference between MEN & WOMEN....I know, I know....the majority of you will state the obvious original, little or large differences.  Before I continue....here's a thought!!  Just now, I went into the garden, and, gathered some figs from my huge fig-tree.  Went back inside, arms itching like hell from touching the leaves....or rather them, scraping me, the figs sticky milky paste all over me.  Washed and put the figs in the fridge and, proceeded to wash my hands again....with soap...with washing up liquid...with hand cream...back again...and, as I sit here writing, I'm also busy scratching my arms to relieve some of the irritation.  So, how in Heaven's name did the first man Adam, manage to go around dressed in  a fig leaf, and that, on his most sensitive parts?  Perhaps he's the originator of the jig...that very lively dance where you jump up and down!!!
Back to our theme. A couple of years ago, I was having coffee with a good friend of mine in Nicosia, Cyprus.  Suddenly, I spotted a man I had known long ago.  Excusing myself, I  caught up with him,  greeted him, reminded him of my name, asked him to join me and my friend.  His reaction?  He didn't ask how I was, tell me how happy he was to see I was well/still alive/not having been hit by bus, but...''I often wondered what had happened to you..you've put on weight!!'' Straight for  the jugular bloody vampire!  No gentleman there, but, I smiled and walked him over to my friend, introduced them, he sat down and began...'God...she had such a small waist..such a small waist....you should have seen her...  For a barrister that he now was, this was not  a sophisticated conversation.  I could have sued him for misrepresentation of my body which, was far from fat, but had simply grown up along with me. Obviously I was not the very young woman he had first met. Even if I was fat, what the hell did that have to do with anything?  Anyway, having listened to him droning on about my once-upon-a-time very slim waist, I placed my hand on his pork-belly (into apparent serious pregnancy), patted it, smiled, and, said ''whereas YOU, haven't changed at all.''  My friend smiled, the barrister left.
And THAT dear bloggers is the difference between Men & Women. In other words,  THEY can be short, paunchy, bald, toothless, older than old farts, some even called distinguished, especially if their wallet is fat.  Whereas WE are supposed to be forever 18,  never ageing,  never put on weight, not have wrinkles or droopy anything otherwise  we are old hags/old bags/old women etc.  Fashion designers design only for skeletons so, women are brainwashed believing,  if we are anything above size 10 we are fat.  Only girls of 10 are size ten!!  Then, there's showbiz.  Plastic surgeries, botox, silicone breasts, forced and enforced diets.  I've seen female singers and actresses, that have become nothing short of grotesque, with wind-swept faces, and, permanent 'Joker' smirks, who believe they travelled back in time, and, are still pleasing to the crows..crowds..!!   We hide age as though it is something to be ashamed of, a crime.  AGE IS AN ACHIEVEMENT and we should be happy to have reached yet another year of life.  And women, undergo all this to please MEN  who obviously have the freedom to be as they are, but, get rid of the old girl in exchange of a younger model!!
I have never understood what all this fuss about age is.  I have never understood  that it should tie me up and bind me in boxes with numbers above, preventing me of being myself, but, insist instead that I behave according to a number!! Poppycock.  With my attitude of a lifetime, that has meant, I was not poisoning my brain on a daily basis, feeding it with fears and tears, that it's grown another day, oh woe is me.  That has meant,  my brain has not  been poisoning my body, telling it it must now grow old accordingly.  No creams either or attempts to prevent this 'horrible' thing called age.  I look forward to my birthdays and, because of that, I've NEVER looked my age.  It's not only genes, not drinking or smoking etc. Younger women have spoken to me as a 'mother' to a child, people who were born the same year but don't know it, think me years younger.  I am a Peter Pan, who's matured in life,  but has never gotten rid of the child in her character.  I stopped saying my age at 27 because, I do not wish to be placed in those coffin-boxes, that tell me I should this or that, but not this or that!!  I was going out with a 30 year old man, who worked at the BBC, and, when he asked me how old I was...rather ungentlemanly for an Englishman now I think of it,  I asked him to guess.  He begun with 19, 20..what more?..21...22...what more? until I proudly told him I was 27.  Proud I didn't look it, but, I will never forget his shocked and disappointed expression....what?  I didn't think you were that old!! I realized then why The Little Prince is my favourite  book.  When the boy reflects about grown ups mania with numbers...
''When you tell them you've made a new friend, they never say, what does his voice sound like, what games does he love...etc. instead it's how old is he? How many brothers has he? How much does he weigh? How much does his father make?  Only then they think they have learned  something about him....if you say I saw a beautiful house, they'll ask how much did it cost, you say 4000 pounds, and, they exclaim 'What a beautiful house!!''
An epidemic obsession!  When it comes to age and appearance, it only seems to apply to women and not men, and THAT dear bloggers is the real difference between MEN & WOMEN!!!

                                                               ΛΙΜΝΗ ΟΡΟΚΛΙΝΗ

     Την Κυριακη 13/10/2013, πηγα σε συγκεντρωση για εκκαθαρση της Λιμνης.  Υπηρχε πληθος εθελοντες, απο τον βουλευτη Οικολογικου Κομματος κ. Περδικη,  Life, BirdLife Cyprus και αλλες οργανωσεις, σε νεαρους προσκοπους και προσωπικου του ΕΚΟ. Περασα 1.30 ωρες εκει. Σε μια ωρα, γεμισα 3 σακουλες απο σιδερικα.  Βρηκα και μια κασα στο χαντακι, γεματη μπογιες και χημικα.  Εγω και 2 αλλα ατομα καταφεραμε τελικα να τα φερουμε πανω.  Υπηρχαν 2 ημι-βαρελια που ειχαν τσιμεντωθει στο χαντακι κ'εμειναν για ειδικο συνεργειο. Αν πατε στην ιστοσελιδα www.orokliniproject.org θα δειτε μεχρι και μπανιερα και αλλα τετοια που μαζεψαν οι υπολοιποι. The budget is 797.070 euro, 50% of which was contributed by Life Financial Inst. of European Union.

  Το αξιολογο εργο, ειναι να διατηρηθει η λιμνη ως φυσικος υδροβιοτοπος, οπου μεταναστευομενα πουλια που περνανε απ'το νησι, μπορουν να ξεκουραστουν, και βεβαια, να γινει ενας αξιοθεατος τοπος κοινου ενδιαφεροντος, για μας, και, τους τουριστες. Ειναι πρωτοβουλια απο το Κοινοτικο Συμβουλιο Οροκλινης μαζι με διαφορες οργανωσεις που αναφερα ποιο πανω.  Θα βρειτε ολους τους συντελεστες στην ιστοσελιδα.  Στο προηγουμενο συμβουλιο ειχαν ακουστει σχεδια τσιμεντοποιησις και κτισιματος στο χωρο, λες και δεν υπαρχουν ηδη αρκετοι τετοιοι τοποι!!! 

     Θυμαμαι οταν επεστρεψα στην Κυπρο το 2001  (μεγαλωσα στο Λονδινο), υπηρχαν βροχες και χιονια.  Οι βροχες γεμισαν και τους 6 υδατοφραχτες και βεβαια τη λιμνη.  Συντομα γεμισε απο διαφορα πουλια και ο κοσμος πηγαινε να τα δει.  Ητανε κατι καινουργιο γ'αυτους.  Μετα αρχισε η ξηρασια και σε καποια φαση, ειχαμε νερο μονο τη μιση βδομαδα, διοτι επρεπε να οικονομιθει!!  Προσεξα το μανιωδες κοψιμο δενδρων παντου, για φυτευση τουβλων, τα οποια θα βλαστουσαν σε σπιτια, τα οποια γενικα θα εμεναν αδεια.  Καθε γειτονια πρεπει να εχει και ενα μικρο παρκο διπλα....σιγα που ακολουθουνται τετοιοι κανονες!!  Μεχρι και στις παραλιες κτιζουν, ενω σε αλλες χωρες υπαρχουν κανονες αποστασεων.  Στο κεντρο Λευκωσιας πριν λιγα χρονια, η τοτε δημαρχος στην σοφια της διεταξε κ'εκοπηκαν δεντρα 50 ετων για να γινουν καποιες πανακριβες αλλαγες και μοντερνισμος μπλα μπλα...και ΜΕΤΑ που κοπηκαν τα αμοιρα δενδρα....ζητουσαν λεφτα και σπονσορες!!!!  Εφυγε αυτη, ηρθε καινουργιος...δεν ακουσα κατι, υποθετω ακομη περιμενουν!!! Τα δενδρα ομως,  η ευεργετικη τους σκια στους ανθρωπους στην ζεστη του καλοκαιριου, προστασια φωλιων, και, παραγωγη οξυγονου σε μια δηλητηριωδες, αποπνικτικη ατμοσφαιρα εχουν φυγει για παντα......Ξηρασια?? Δεν φταιει η Τρυπα του Οζον αλλα η Τρυπα λαιμαργιας για λεφτα, και, η απουσια αγαπης προς τον τοπο.  Κανεις αρμοδιος με εξουσια και δυναμη, δεν εχει οραμα να κανει κατι καλο για τον τοπο, συνανθρωπο,  περιβαλλον. Βεβαια τωρα κλαινε πως φταιει η 'Κριση', αλλα ποιος την εφερε??  Παντως οχι η Τροικα.  Για να την καλεσουμε σημαινει τα καναμε μανταρα απο μονοι μας.  Γ'αυτο και χειροκροτω αυτο το εργο για τη Λιμνη Οροκλινης.  ΜΠΡΑΒΟ!!

  Ειχα γραψει διαφορες επιστολες στις εφημεριδες κλπ., για την αυτοκαταστροφικη συμπεριφορα προς ενα νησι που επρεπε ναναι ενας οικολογικος παραδεισος.  Γ'αυτο χαιρομαι παρα πολυ που, τουλαχιστο η λιμνη αυτη θα γινει περιβαλλοντικη και, υπο προστασιας.  Μην ξεχασετε να επισκεφτειτε την ιστοσελιδα που αναφερα ποιο πανω. Αξιζει.  Μεσα σ'ενα ωκεανο αρνητικοτητας, να και κατι αξιολογο, θετικο. Ευχομαι σε ολους τους συντελεστες καθε επιτυχια στο εργο τους. Και στους ανευθυνους, ανηδεους και ασυνειδητους, που εχουν για σκουπιδοτοπο το νησι,  απο  αδεια πακετα πατατακια,  και αδεια τενεκακια μπυρας, στα σιδερικα, μπανια, κ.α. λεω....εφ'οσον μετατρεπουν τον τοπο που ζουνε, σε καδο σκουπιδιων....αρα θεωρουν εαυτο ως  σκουπιδι...τους ευχομαι περαστικα και συντομα.  Αυτα φιλοι και φιλες. Α!! Και, λαθη ορθογραφικα κ.α. που ισως βρειτε....σκοπιμα ειναι... 

Καλημερα fellow bloggers!! Μπαινοντας στο ΦΒ, συνηθως αν οχι παντα, βλεπω ενα τσουναμι αρνητικοτητας να ορμα στα ματια μου και μετα στο μυαλο!!! Ανατριχιλες!!  Λες και δεν γνωριζουμε τι ζουμε η μή καθε μερα.  Μετα, υπαρχουν και οι ατακες απο σοφους τις οποιες ολοι διαβαζουμε και μετα ξεχναμε...και δεν ειναι και ολες σοφες.  Οποιος θελει λεει οτι θελει, φτανει ναναι διασημος.. κ' αμεσως τα λογια του/της ειναι 'σοφα'. Και αυτα τα περισσοτερα ειναι γεματα αρνητικοτητα!!! ΦΤΑΝΕΙ ΠΙΑ!!!  Αυτη ειναι η ζωη. Χαρες/χρεη,  λυπες/τρυπες.  Τα προβληματα ειναι για να μυησουμε πνευμα και μυαλο, οπως τα βαρυδια στο γυμναστηριο για το κορμι, κ'οχι για να καταρρευσουμε...διοτι, οχι μονο υπαρχουν χειροτερα αλλα, και καλυτερα!! Ειναι φυσικο ν'απογοητευομαστε,  και, η μελαγχολια εχει τη θεση της αλλα οχι να την μετατρεψουμε σε καταθλιψη. Δεν μπορουμε ν'αλλαξουμε τον κοσμο...μονο τον εαυτο μας με τον τροπο που σκεπτομαστε, που αντιμετωπιζουμε τη ζωη ΜΑΣ.  Ας μην 'ευχομαστε' καποιος, καπου, καποτε, να φυτεψει δασος...ας φυτεψουμε εμεις το πρωτο δενδρο. Δεν υπαρχει 'αλλος' που παντα φταιει για την κατασταση μας.  ΕΜΕΙΣ ειμαστε οι διαχειριστες που πρωτα δημιουργησαμε αυτες τις προβληματικες καταστασεις. Μονοι μας ή μαζικως. Δυστυχως για να μαθουμε, πρεπει πρωτα να παθουμε, αλλιως δεν καταλαβουμε γρι, κ'ακολουθουμε τα λαθη μας με τύφλα, μεσα στον οκεανο αδιαφοριας κ'αναισθησιας του πλουσιου, που ποτε δεν θα καταλαβει το γουργουρισμα του πεινασμενου, ή αυτου που δεν πονεσε ετσι δεν καταλαβει το ΄ποναω' του πληγωμενου, του αρρωστου κλπ.  Αν δεν βαλουμε το χερι στη φωτια...ΠΑΘΗΜΑ/ΜΑΘΗΜΑ.  Το ποιο δυσκολο που εχουμε να κανουμε ειναι, εστω και για μια μερα, ναχουμε  ΘΕΤΙΚΕΣ σκεψεις. Το δοκιμασατε ποτε? Να ψαξουμε τις ευλογιες που εχουμε δεδομενες (ειναι πολλες). Να διωξουμε το σκοταδι απο τις σκεψεις μας, και, ν'αναψουμε το φως της Ελπιδας, που για μενα ΠΟΤΕ δεν πεθαινει. Απλα την θαβουμε τοσο βαθεια μεσα μας που δυσκολα βρισκει το δρομο της προς εμας.  Ας μη σκεπτομαστε το καινουργιο κινητο που δεν εχουμε, αλλα το παλιο μας που ακομη δουλευει.  Να πουμε ενα ευχαριστω στο Συμπαν του Θεου, για το 'μυστηριο' της Ζωης και την πορεια μας σ'αυτο στο σχολειο που ονομαζουμε Πλανητης Γη.  Υπαρχει ΣΚΟΠΟΣ στην υπαρξη μας. ΨΑΞΤΕ τον, και θα τον βρειτε.  Μην τ'αφησετε ολα στο αορατο του δεδομενου. Δεν υπαρχει ΤΥΧΑΙΟ, ολα εχουν τον λογο τους, κ'ας μην τον εχουμε καταλαβει ακομη. Αυτα φιλοι και φιλες.  Κ'ο Θεος βοηθος να με βρειτε εδω και να κανουμε τις κουβεντες μας κ'αλλαγη αποψεων....οντως...τι στο καλο ειναι το Μπλογκ??  

                                                                       BLOG v CLOG

Ok. I think I've discovered HOW to post things separately from comments!!! I decided a few days ago, to start a blog..... as if I didn't have enough problems with FB page, Timeline,  Violetta's Music (KAFOURIDES) page, Twitter, You Tube Channel....you catch my drift.  I didn't realize then, that I would enter a dark realm of confusion....frustration....chaos!! Having put a profile pic on Quackers, I discovered it replaced my You Tube logo and, I've been trying ever since to change it.  I've changed it everywhere else, except You Tube!!  If that wasn't enough, it was brought to my attention 1. there is a code that I must remove otherwise it puts off would-be fellow bloggers & 2. To post my  original comment where it can be seen and discussed.

Well, 1.  I've NO IDEA where that code is 2.  When I wrote my observation on people's general pessimism and negativity on FB, I thought it WAS going to be seen not end up as a comment, so, I'm trying to discover how to sort that out too....  Seems to me, BLOG does not make changes and amendments easy....Question fellow bloggers et al....ARE WE SUCKERS FOR SELF-INFLICTED PAIN??  Thank you!! :P
